Blue.

So every time I get my hair done my boss momma stylist asks me to take a self portrait. Now I don’t have the most perfect track record for following through on that. But this time I think I did her proud. Thanks Kurstin and K Squared Hair for always making me look fab!

BLUE BLUE BLUE

Living In The City.

Although, it’s been a pretty dark and rainy start to Spring here in Seattle, things are starting to come alive! I sure do love this tree in my front yard!

♥︎In Grandma’s Dresses♥︎

I lost my Grandmother in November and I’ve missed her everyday. I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be who I am today without her influence. She was a quiet woman but when she had something to say her voice rang out. I like to think, that like her, we express ourselves through our wardrobe. Her aesthetic for dress and design truly passed on to me. There is really no color too bright, no such thing as too much kitsch and when in doubt, floral everything! In this set of images I’m wearing some of her favorite dresses, she really was one of a kind!

I love you Grandma!

.Hotel Stays and Scott’s Birthday.

Tomorrow is Scott’s Birthday, so last night we stayed at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel, just for fun and to feel fancy. We watched cable TV and drank champagne in our king sized bed! Before we left I took a couple portraits on my phone.

The Future Is STILL Female!

It’s now been over a week since the election is over and it’s had my head spinning ever since. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. Now it’s not so much because “my team” didn’t win or even that we were so close to having a kick-butt lady president. It’s that we overwhelmingly voted yes to bullying. We told our children not only that it’s ok to target Women, Muslims, Mexicans, etc. but you get rewarded when you do so. I could go on for days, so I’ll keep it short. It’s now more then ever we all need to stick together and give ’em hell! I’ll finish with a quote from our gal HC…

“And to all the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and to achieve your own dreams.”
